myspaceGcal v.1.0 (blog)

This page generates a Flash version of your Google calendar which can be embedded into Myspace. (See screenshot below)
To generate the code, fill in the fields below and press the Submit button.



Google Calendar ID (required):

Your Calendar ID is usually your google account email address.
If you have additional calendars, you can find the ID this way:
  1. Open your Google calendar https://www.google.com/calendar
  2. Click on "Settings" in the upper right corner
  3. Click on the "Calendars" tab
  4. Under "My Calendars" click on the calendar you want to share
  5. Scroll down to "Calendar Address:"
  6. Your Calendar ID next the the HTML link as "Calendar ID: " (see screenshot below)


Enter your Gcal ID Here:

Color Selection (optional):

Enter the hex code for the colors you want. Defaults to "Myspace" style colors.
(Example: 000000 for black, FFFFFF for white. For a full list of color codes supported by all browsers, see: w3schools)

Background Color:
Title Color:

All done?:

Click "Submit" to generate the code:



Troubleshooting:

Your Google calendar must be set to "Public", otherwise this app may hang on "Loading..." Disclaimer: setting your calendar to public makes it searchable to anyone using Google.

To set your calendar to Public:
  1. Open your Google calendar https://www.google.com/calendar
  2. Click on "Settings" in the upper right corner
  3. Click on the "Calendars" tab
  4. Under "My Calendars" click on the calendar you want to share
  5. Click "Share this calendar"
  6. Select "Make this calendar public" and save.
